Provide consultation with families to assess financial planning and care needs of older adults. Prepare, file and monitor Medicaid applications for Community Medicaid (including eligible Assisted Living Programs) and for nursing home benefits. Prepare, file and set up Pooled Trusts to shelter surplus income. Provide assistance with securing home care, a move to assisted living (including Medicaid ALP)and/ or nursing home care. Assess the need for and coordinate referrals to other professionals or agencies as needed. Certified Senior Advisor, Elderlaw Paralegal for over 25 yrs. Master's degree in Gerontological Services Administration.
