Speaker: : Joanne Newmark, R.N, MBA, HCE-C , Assistant Director of Palliative Care at Plainview and Syosset Hospitals.
Ms. Newmark will educate senior advocates about advanced directives as well as how to conduct end of life conversations with seniors and their families.
Ms. Newmark, R.N, MBA, HCE-C earned her nursing degree from Nassau Community College and Adelphi University. She later earned her MBA in Healthcare Administration from Adelphi University. She brings more than forty years of nursing experience, specializing in ICU care and Nursing Education and has devoted the last 15 years of her career to palliative and geriatric care.
